This Blueberry prisma color is one of my first prisma colors this semester. Then i didn't really know how to blend all of my colors smoothly and add shadows and highlights where they needed to be.

This strawberry prisma color is one of my recent colored pencil drawings and i feel like its definitely one of the better ones that i have done. I have learned how to properly blend and i know now where to put certain highlights and shadows depending on where the light source is.

4. Two mini lessons where i felt i learned the most from this semester were probably the pen and ink practices and the prisma color shapes.
The pen and ink practices taught me how to properly add shadow and highlights to a piece using only one color and helped me learn shading in ink. Although it is very difficult at first you get the hang of things and it looks so much better at the end. I feel like i did a good job showing the curvature of the beak and the chest using the stippling method underneath the lines that were there to make it look lighter in some places and darker in others.

The prisma color shapes helped me with all of my small and final prisma colored projects because i learned how to blend colored pencils and add different colors to make a shade or a highlight of that same color and end up making it look more realistic. I learned that the colored pencils can get waxy really fast if you use too much pressure so you start out light and add layers slowly to build up the color and then you try to make that more vibrant.

6. My favorite medium to work with was probably the clay food project.
Clay was my favorite medium to work with this semester because with clay you can sculpt it into any shape that you want and make it your own. I really like adding all of the tiny details to try and make it look as realistic as possible. After firing it another favorite part of mine is painting it and adding different colors and shades and then putting the shiny glaze over it.
7. one project where i felt the least successful was probably the print making project.
I feel like my least successful project is the printmaking project because of the colors i chose and how difficult it was to carve out all of the pieces and put the ink smoothly onto the lino. If i had the chance to re do this project i would probably pick a different landscape but not have it be a building, i felt like because there were so many layers that all of the tiny details kind of disappeared.
