1) The art criticism process starts with 1. describing the art 2. Analyze it 3. Interpret the art and finally 4. Judge/ critique the art 2) I carved out an elephant on the front side of my clay box and painted it purple so it can stand out more. and i also made it bumpy and not as smooth as it should be but i tried making an egg shape. I wanted to make this for my mom for mothers day because she loves elephants. I definetly think i could have done a better job with smoothing it out and painting it better but other than that i learned about clay and how hard it can be to work with clay. 11) I really enjoyed making this piece and being able to send it out to the school because i want everyone to feel safe in school and know that everyone is thinking of them. I felt that i needed to do this because whats happening in todays world, its insane and scary no one deserves to go through or deal with any of that. 13) The most difficult part of this class was probably trying new things that ive never done before. for example water color i have never worked with it and i didnt know how to work with it but this class helped me. 17) I found the hue value scale warmup beneficial because it helped me understand and realize how to make different shades and mix colors. it helped me get different shades of the same color and learn to mix and match them.

The place that helped me come up with this is a small lake in new york where my family used to go to all of the time. The sunset was definetly the most difficult. Im really proud of the rocks and how the water hit them. I started with a pink background and then started with the sky and the water then moved onto the rocks and did the mountains and went back to add small details.
My clay tray set is used to hold small objects or brushes. the design is simple and just adds to the whole piece. I came up with this idea by looking at picture on the internet and thinking about what i wanted to do. I used coils to make this and then softened the edges with a flat edge.
This activity helped me learn how to mix certain colors to make other colors.
You make brown by mixing either green and yellow, blue and purple or red and green. The artist that I chose is Blu, they do street art mostly, they travel everywhere to do this.
Their website is http://blublu.org/sito/updates/001.html It really inspires me how much time and effort that they've put into every piece. they've been doing street art for 15 years now. |
